Komodo Trip (Part 1)

This past month has been quite exciting actually.

First, The 'Pulau Komodo' trip was amazing, I mean all I can say is that I am trully thankful that my mom at the very last days, would let me went to the island. Ofcourse, I am also grateful for everyone I am spending my last trip with. It was beyond my expectation, in both the effort and the scenery.

To talk about the preparation, I was not really expecting that it would require a lot of energy, I really thought it would just be a little hike. But then I was wrong! 

After taking two flights from JKT to DPS then to Ende, it was okay and pretty exciting. then we went to Labuan Bajo to start our "Life on Board" moments, oh before that, Things you have to preapre before going to Labuan bajo and the surroundings is that you have to equipt yourselves with 1.TELKOMSEL simcard, because the other provider does not have connection there

Then the next thing we did was, ofcourse, going on board. checking the rooms, and enjoying the view of the sea and feeling the breeze. There were 8 of us, so we booked a 2 rooms ship with Air Conditioner, Thankfully. A lot of people suggest us to just take the non AC ship because they told us that it will be the same since the air will be enough for us to cool our selves, but My Friends and I personally thinks that it was better to be the one with the air con because, though it was cool enough outside the room, still the coldness is different and AC is just somehow better. hehe 

Then we headed to our first destination which is Gili Lawa. One of my friends asked the tour guide, kak Zaka, oh by the way he is from Jalanesia, and I reccomend anyone who wants to do a private tour throughout Indonesia to do it with Jalanesia because of their comprehensive service. So Lara asked whether Gili Lawa is near the famous Gili Trawagan, we were expecting it was near so we could go there too. But then he said no, it was far from Gili Lawa because Gili Lawa is located in NTT while Gili Trawangan is in NTB. LOL. But then she asked again why do they share the same "gili"? as she thought and we all thought due to their names, they were close. well don't you think it was kind of like the sure name thing, if they are siblings or related they would share the same sure name? well to answer our missunderstanding, he cleared it by stating that "Gili" means small island. well, it is not like the surename thing then, oops.

After 2 hours of sailing, we arrived at Gili Lawa. However, to reach the beach or the island, we have to use small boat due to the size of our ship. Then we began our first hike of the day, by the same token, my first hike through the year. I hiked Mount Papandayan with my Friends, from Pingkan, my bestie sweet 17th birthday, it was indeed one of my unforgettable moments in my life. So, back to Gili Lawa. We hiked fro about 5 minutes, then We well me, I kind of felt tired and tired with the heat.  then Kak Zaka only told us to go on, and told us that we were almost there. so we hiked again. the following 10 minutes after we hiked, we were panting reallyt hard, then Kak Zaka just repeated the same sentences. Then after about 10 more minutes, where we could actually see the to of Gili Lawa, he repeated the same sentences. And I thought to my self, what a great strategy he made haha fooling us by telling we were almost there from the first 5 mins since we hiked. when we finally rached the top of Gili Lawa, it was just worth the hike and all the effort. it was breathtaking and also mesmerizing. Though to be honest, I felt like dying due to dehidration and the heat, so my second advice would be to: 2. Bring a bottle of mineral water on every hike a bottle for one person would be enough. Then we took a rest fro a while then began to exploring the view, by taking pictures. one of my Friend, Thania took pictures of us and they turned out to be really great, thanks a lot athun!!! she is really a pro photographer and real kind ;) 

After spending about almost an hour there, we finally went down. I thought it wil only took about 30 minutes, or even lesser than that, and I thought that it would be easy. yes, another misjudgement. It turned out to be kind of longer and harder than I thought it would be. One funny story that when I was turning around then Rossy was asking me if I had lost some weight LOL after about an hour then we reached the beach which means we are done with our hiking down the hill. Oh, one of the scary moments was when Atika and Stella were aparted from us while going down. because we were going on different paths then one of us suddenly noticed that Atika and Stella were not with us then we were calling for them, but there was no reply, we tried again, then after about 5 times or more we were able to hear them. It was realiving.

Game Plan

For it is not for me to decide what would be the best path for my life,
sometimes all we have to do is accept and go on.

It will not be a dead end, if we are walking with Him.

That is what I believe in.

Hectic.

When it comes to senior year, it is clear that everyone will start to get a panic attack-well maybe but not everyone; but i do.

Welcoming the new year itself has been quite exciting for me, as this year I am going to experience a lot of changing, however, I have to accomplish dozens of arduous exams first. Starting from countless tests to the real final exams, and their friends including 'sidang paper', 'ujian paraktek'- which I will be facing in a few days *wish me tons of luck*, 'UAS','US;, and finally 'UAN'.

As a requirement to participate in the tormenting UAN will have to counter the 'sidang paper'
To commence with, it is going to be another sickening story yet i am so thankful that in the end I could cope the obstacles, ofcourse with the help of my friends,

One Windy Wednesday (Wed With Wind)

               

I found a book
with the same title as this post 

              Now that i think about it, the phase "wed with wind" is kinda sound like marrying the wind, but no, definitely no. 
It was a public holiday in Indonesia to celebrate Hari Kurban for the Muslims
actually, I was not planning on going any where on that day.

               The day before I spend my time to just chilling, using my free time as effective as possible to get my remedies for example watching tv shows, I know it's kinda not really cool but I really have this side of me that introvert side of me just to be alone, and spending time by myself. Although i like being sorrounded by people, most of the time i just stay quite and observing them or listening to their stories without making any comment instead just thinking about it inside my head. therefore, I spent the day until almost-morning watching tv shows, as I thought that i did not really have to wake up early.

               I woke up late on that day, I woke up to the sound of my sister and my mom chatting or arguing about something as they usually do. When I went out of my bed room my sister was already dressed up, with make up on too, surely she was going somewhere. I ate breakfast then my sister asked me about my i was going to do on that day, and i said that i don't really have anything to do, so I i said that i would just chill at home. then she offered me to go with her and with her friends. she was planning on meeting her besties from school but then it was cancelled but she had another appointment with another friends who are her ballet friends that i also know. 
              She mentioned about they would be going to see the Hian Tjen's fashion show. his works are awesome, he made picturesque yet breathtaking dresses. I was curious and kinda attracted to that fashion show, beside I didn't have anything to do on that day too, so I said yes to her offer. I quickly took a bath, get dressed, and preparing my self. I decided to wear black attire because I'm kinda into black these days, and I wanted it to be casual but still has the it factor so I decided to pair my all time favorite culloute with my halter neck black top, I borrowed my sister's shoes too which was espadrilles fro the fact that I wanted to look trendy but I also want something cozy and easy to wear, so i decided to borrow my sister's as it belongs to her.

          As we did not have too much time, because apparently I woke up late on that day so I did not have enough time to curl or style my hair. Thank God for the people who invented the "Gulungan" which has became popular these days it is really helpful and also formed great result too, at the same time it saves your time and energy. My sister called it Herbini, but to be honest i do notknow what is the real name to that thing, but either way I think that thing is very helpful. here is the picture of the useful/powerful herbini 


          We went to my sister's friends house who was my Ballet teacher too, ci Wissy :) then my ci Tiara picked us up, then we went to Plaza Senayan. On the way to our destination, it was kinda refreshing to hear people's stories and jokes from people with different age of group as you, not that they are that old thoough, because my daily  life is basically school, so things that i heard was pretty much about what high schoolers would hear, it was not that different beside that they are all already working plus they have experienced university. I think that it is interesting to hear the stories from other people that you rarely meet on daily basis, because it opens your mind about certain things. It somehow gives you extra information, even as simple as when it comes to dating world, it is commonly complicated and it is common to have complications in love as in life. Even one of my sister's friend told us about her previous relationship that seemed to be just flat, without any ups and down, though admittedly they were together for a long time, but it did not get them anywhere, so from what i get was that relationships needs up and downs. it will show the real personalities of the people involved. as it will  let you know if the person worth to have or can be considered as worth to leave. 
              or as simple as the tips on how to draw your eyebrows, how to add extra volume to your bangs, or just giving you the idea of the working life. From the stories that i heard it was mostly like : oh i went to that cafe with my friend after work, or it took me 8 hours just to get home yesterday. no, it was not 8 but i sometimes they kinda telling it in the way it was 8 hours, but it was already a fact that Jakarta has a really bad traffic. 

We finally arrived at Plaza Senayan we were planning to have out late lunch at Union or TWG but they were just too crowded and were already starving while waiting. before the we got rotten from waiting we went to the bcak of union and took some photos, I really like that spot because it is so famous as so many artsy people have taken photos there, so it was probably mandatory to take photos there, the famous mirror in front of the cafe. Apparently it was really windy that day that i unexpectedly got one candid shot taken by my sister. I looked really happy in that picture, probably that was what made me attracted by that. it gives me the +/- in life again, even it was probably the smallest and most unimportant thing in life. How the wind blows that we all naturally think would ruin the picture with the prepared smile-pose-etc turned out to give the happiest expression-awkwardness-candid picture. FYI, my favorite photos usually contain me looking overly happy or laughing so hard, because it kinda remind me that i was happy, or i am happy, that could also lead to i will be happy.

                As i mentioned earlier, We were all already starving while waiting in the line to get a table, so we decided to look for other cafe with available seats, so we picked monologue. it was actually really good, especially the banana cake and the nachos these two were  and for the drink it was the nutella something I already forget the name but it was recommended in the menu are totally my favorites. The stories and laughter bursts again in the mean time of our late lunch. I love to hear unexpected yet funny stories from people because it usually funny and probably will make you laugh, LOL

               After the chitchat and late lunch, we went to the Davinci 22nd year anniversary as the matter of fact that one of my sister's friend, ci Efa works there, so we are able to come to the event, and especially to admire the famous Hian Tjen's works. We waited for the opening for the event which include the fashion show as well. The Fashion Show was really good, the dresses were all dreamy, and pretty, though some of them also doesn't fit the pretty compliment as it was more glamourous and sophisticated, The fashion show was devided int three themes, one is all about gold, the other was red, and finally the last was black, of course my favourite would be the black theme. Some of the dresses were made of feathers, or other uncommon material. Overall I was really mesmerized by his works. the other good thing was that the event provides buffet dinner too which was good. after the event, we went back home. I was truly thankful to ci Efa, and Ci Wissy, and Ci Tiara, and esp. ci Zhazha for letting me to barged in to their hangout.

the return of superman!

The Return Of Superman

               Started of as I want to try to watch something different aside from k-dramas. A lot of my friend have been watching this show, and many of them recommended me to watch it!

The return of superman us a reality show that films children with their daddy, who can be considered as the Superman. (Though some of the family, contributes the moms too)

               Oh by the way, I think Tasha was the one who made me watch this show, because at that time she really adore Sarang, I liked the show, but wasn't really into it, so I didn't really catch up on them.

But, once I started, I could not get rid of it! They are so adorable and act innocently, and their responses are too cute! Hehehehe

               My favorite up until now is still Daehan, Minguk, Manse the Song triplets children of Ilkook. The triplets joined the show when they were about 3 years old i guess. The names means "Republic of Korea, Hooray!" Ain't it creative? Yet LOL! Ilkook is a really great actor with talent on sports, and his wife is a High Court Judge! Daebak!

Trying to be a dentist

                My friend told me that one of the reason he joined The Return of Superman was because he wanted to help his wife to take care of the children, as she is really busy with her job.

                It is usually tells about their daily life, their visit to the pediatrist, dentist, park, overseas trips, or even just simple yet lovely times at their homes. Sometimes all of the families gather too! They will get to play with other children from the other families.

                 It is a really good reality show and it also provide some good moral values and it is absolutely entertaining!

So, go watch it peeps!

Do You Want To Know About Ingenhousz Experiment?

Percobaan Ingenhousz

I.Tujuan 

1.     Membuktikan adanya gas oksigen(gelembung) sebagai hasil proses fotosintesis.

2.     Mengetahui spectrum warna yang baik untuk fotosintesis.

II. Landasan Teori

            Pada proses fotosintesis, yang terjadi pada tumbuhan berklorofil tepatnya pada jaringan tiang/palisade dan bunga karang pada mesofil daun, proses fotosintesis pada tumbuhan hijau mengubah air, gas karbondioksida, dengan bantuan cahaya dan klorofil menjadi glukosa, dan oksigen.

                  6H₂O + 6CO₂ → C₆H₁₂O₆ (glukosa) + 6O₂

            Orang yang pertama kali menemukan fotosintesis adalah Jan Ingenhousz. Fotosintesis merupakan suatu proses yang penting bagi organisme di bumi, dengan fotosintesis ini tumbuhan menyediakan bagi organisme lain baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. Jan Ingenhosz melakukan percobaan dengan memasukkan tumbuhan Hydrilla Verticillata ke dalam bejana yang berisi air. Bejana gelas itu ditutup dengan corong terbalik dan diatasnya diberi tabung reaksi yang diisi air hingga penuh, kemudian bejana itu diletakkan di terik matahari. Tak lama kemudian muncul gelembung udara dari tumbuhan air itu yang menandakan adanya oksigen (Kimball, 1993).

            Beberapa spktrum warna juga mempengaruhi kecepatan fotosintesis.

III. Alat dan Bahan

·      Tabung reaksi

·      Gelas beker

·      Corong

·      Kawat

·      Baskom

·      Stopwatch

·      Kertas mika (kuning, merah, hijau, biru)

·      Hyrilla (3/4)

IV. Cara kerja

1.      Masukkan 3/4 Hydrilla ke dalam corong.

2.      Masukkan  3 kawat yang sudah dibengkokkan penyangga ke dalam gelas kimia untuk menjaga keseimbangan corong yang telah diisi dengan hydrilla agar corong berada dalam posisi menggantung.

3.      Masukan gelas kimia tersebut dalam baskom berisi air, diikuti dengan memasukkan corong yang berisi hydrilla ke dalam gelas kimia, selanjutnya tutup bagian atas tabung corong dengan tabung reaksi, semua ini dilakukan di dalam air, serta usahakan agar tidak ada gelembung yang masuk dalam tabung reaksi.

4.      Letakkan gelas beker yang telah dirangkai tersebut di tempat yang terkena cahaya, kemudian dengan menggunakan stopwatch dalam tiap jangka waktu 1 menit yang dilakukan selama 5 kali, catatlah banyaknya gelembung yang dihasilkan.

5.      Bungkuslah gelas beker yang telah dirangkai dengan menggunakan kertas mika berwarna hijau, hingga semua permukaan gelas beker tertutupi kertas mika berwarna hijau, kemudian dengan menggunakan stopwatch hitunglah banyaknya gelembung yang terjadi dalam 1 menit, sebanyak 5 kali.

6.      Lakukan langkah ynag sama dengan nomor 5 namun menggunakan kertas mika kuning.

7.      Lakukan langkah ynag sama dengan nomor 5 namun menggunakan kertas mika biru.

8.      Lakukan langkah ynag sama dengan nomor 5 namun menggunakan kertas mika merah.

VI. Analisis

            Percobaan fotosintesis menggunakan hydrilla, ternyata menghasilkan gelembung, yang merupakan gas Oksigen/O2 yang merupkan hasil dari fotosintesis, dimana oksigen terbentul karena proses fotolisis dimana air diuraikan menjadi gas oksigen dan air.

            Pada bagian kontrol, yaitu gelas beker berisi hydrilla yang terlah dirangkai dengan corong dan tabung reaksi berisi air yang diletakkan di tempat yang terkena cahaya matahari, hanya menghasilkan gelembung dalam jumlah yang tergolong sedikit, yaitu dengan rata-rata 12, 6 gelembung per menit.

            Pada gelas beker yang ditutupi kertas mika berwarna hijau, dan diletakkan di tempat yang terkena cahaya matahari, menghasilkan gelembung yag tergolong rendah juga, bahkan lebih sedkit dari kelompok pada keadaan control, yaitu hanya 5,8 gelembung per menit. Hal ini menunjukkan spectrum warna hijau tidak berperan penting dalam mempercepat proses fotosintesis.

             Pada gelas beker yang ditutupi kertas mika berwarna kuning, dan diletakkan di tempat yang terkena cahaya matahari, menghasilkan gelembung yang tergolong cukup tinggi, yaitu 26,8 gelembung per menit. Hal ini menunjukkan spectrum warna kuning berperan dalam mempercepat proses fotosintesis.

            Pada gelas beker yang ditutupi kertas mika berwarna biru, dan diletakkan di tempat yang terkena cahaya matahari, menghasilkan gelembung yag tergolong tinggi, yaitu 28,8 gelembung per menit, bahkan lebih banyak dari pada keadaan gelas beker ditutupi oleh kertas mika berwarna kuning. Hal ini menunjukkan spectrum warna biru berperan dalam mempercepat proses fotosintesis.

            Pada gelas beker yang ditutupi kertas mika berwarna merah, dan diletakkan di tempat yang terkena cahaya matahari, menghasilkan gelembung yang paling tinggi dibandingkan pada keadaan, yaitu 34,4 gelembung per menit. Hal ini menunjukkan spectrum warna merah berperan penting dalam mempercepat proses fotosintesis.

VII. Kesimpulan

            Dari Percobaan ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam proses fotosintesis dihasilkan oksigen, dimana salam Percobaan ini dapat dilihat dalam bentuk gelembung yang terbentuk. Selain itu, spectrum warna juga mempengaruhi kecepatan fotosintesis, serta banyaknya gas oksigen yang dihasilkan. Melalui Percobaan ini, dapat diketahui bahwa spectrum warna yang dari yang terbaik ke terburuk dalam mempercepat proses fotosintesis adalah merah, diikuti biru, dan kuning, dan yang tidak mempercepat proses fotosintesis adalah warna hijau.
